When visiting the webpage, the browsing data may be transferred directly to the social networks concerned, even without users’ direct interaction. When users use the plug-ins available through the Website (e.g. log in with their access credentials to a social network, or link their accounts, click on the Facebook “Like” or “Share” button), the users’ browser establishes a direct connection with the server of that social network, which sends the contents of the plug-in directly to the users’ browser.

The cookie will collect information relating to your use of our website, information about your device such as the device’s IP address and browser type, demographic data and, if you arrived at our site via a link from third party site, the URL of the linking page.

We use a number of “first party” cookies – generated and used by this website – and some “third party” cookies – generated on our site by third parties. Cookies can only store text, which is always anonymous and usually encrypted. We will never store any personal information in a cookie.

Types of cookies

Essential or ‘Strictly Necessary’ Cookies are necessary for the running of our website. Without these cookies, parts of our website would not function. These cookies do not track where you have been on the internet and do not gather information about you that could be used for marketing purposes.

Persistent cookies are used to hold information that is used between visits. This data allows sites to recognize that you are a returning visitor and react accordingly. Persistent cookies have a lifetime value that is set by the website, which can vary between a few minutes or several years.

Functionality Cookies: are used to remember your preferences on our website and to provide enhanced, personalized features. The information collected by these cookies is usually anonymous, so we cannot identify you personally. Functional cookies do not track your internet usage or gather information which could be used for selling advertising, but they do help with serving advertising.

Third party Cookies: A third-party cookie is a cookie that is placed on a user’s hard disk by a Website from a domain other than the one a user is visiting. As with standard cookies, third-party cookies are placed so that a site can remember something about you at a later time. Both are typically used to store surfing and personalization preferences and tracking information. When you visit a page with content embedded from, for example, YouTube or Facebook, these third-party service providers may set their own cookies on your device.

We use two types: session cookies and third-party cookies. Session cookies only last for as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser session). Our Website does not control the use of these third-party cookies and cannot access them due to the way that cookies work, as cookies can only be accessed by the party who originally set them.

Through your browser you can also view the cookies that are on your computer, and delete individual ones, or purge them all.

Cookies are just text files so you can open them and read the contents. The data within them is often encrypted, or a numerical key corresponding to a web session so they often don’t make sense to anything other than the website that wrote it.

If you use different devices to view and access the Argiros d.o.o. Sites (e.g. your computer, smartphone, tablet etc) you will need to ensure that each browser on each device is adjusted to suit your cookie preferences

Disabling cookies will also affect the monitoring of your progress through the site, but it will not stop the analytics code from recognizing your visit.
